A daring and audacious robbery at a gold shop in Sonarpur has sent shockwaves through the local community. The incident unfolded in Barendra Pada, South 24 Parganas, Sonarpur.
According to reports from the area, four assailants, traveling on two motorcycles, stormed the gold shop late on Friday night, brandishing weapons and commencing an extensive looting operation. During the heist, the gold shop owner and multiple bystanders were subjected to physical violence, with the butt of a firearm allegedly striking the shop owner on the head.
Following the robbery, the culprits made a hasty escape on their motorcycles. When local residents attempted to intercept them, the miscreants resorted to close-range firing, intensifying the sense of shock and concern throughout the area.
